Pilar Latorre (Suriky Collection)
It is a pleasure for us to present the first collaboration in the field of gastronomy with the prestigious Chef Pilar Latorre.
We created a centerpiece inspired by a reed rafts, an organic piece especially for the Chef, called Suriky.
Suriky symbolizes her travels around the world and her acquired experiences, where she fuses essences and flavors creating a new organoleptic experience.
DLUX together with Pilar created a concept inspired by the nature, lightness and resistance, we have fused a concept combining the traditional features of a reed raft with a modern material such as carbon fiber, two totally different elements but sharing similar characteristics.
On March 23rd, in her prestigious cooking class Pilar Latorre exclusively presented to the 8 best clients of Qatar Airways, a concept of Suriky, the event was also attended by the General Director in Spain, Marimar Laveda and the Commercial Director Sonia Oliveras, representing Qatar Airways.
Pilar chose a Hindu menu, washed down with Abadia Retuerta wines, leaving the guests excited about such a welcome that only she is able to do: non-stop surprise your guests!

Since 1972, she has held cooking workshops in the best schools in Europe and Asia. Participating in the most prestigious national and international congresses, such as Madrid Fusión, Alimentaria, Gastronomika.
Extensive training in various courses in international schools: PARIS – Cordon Bleu, Lenôtre and L’École Ritz Escoffier; BANGKOK – Dusit University, The Blue Elephant and Mandarin Oriental Cooking Academy.
She made collaborations with some of the most prestigious chefs of Spain, France, Peru and other great culinary destinations:
Spain: Ferrán and Albert Adrià, Joan Roca, Juan Mari and Elena Arzak, Carmen Ruscalleda, Martin Berasategui, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Pedro Subijana and David Muñoz.
France: Michel Bras, Pierre Gagnière, Joël Robuchon, Alain Ducasse, Pierre Hermé, Marc Veyrat and Alain Passard.
